The Irish Forum for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (IFPP) is one of the six organizations which form the Psychoanalytic Section of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy, (ICP).

The Irish Council for Psychotherapy is part of the European Association of  Psychotherapy. This body seeks to promote and safeguard the needs of the profession and its clients, in particular vis a vis statutory relationships. To further these aims, there is a constant working toward equality of standards throughout Europe, which has resulted in the awarding of the European Certificate of Psychotherapy.
